Shipping Policy

  • In stock orders will generally be shipped within 1-2 business days from original order date. Orders placed and received no later than 10:00am local time are generally shipped same or next business day.
 
  • Online ordering shipping rates are calculated in real time at checkout and are prepaid by the buyer at which point and the buyer assumes all liabilities here in. In the event a real-time rate cannot be obtained during checkout due to an oversize item, we will happily obtain a separate shipping quote on your behalf and invoice these charges separately. Calgary Event Wholesale will commit to deliver the goods indicated on the order via the selected carrier.  In the event that due to the nature of the goods being shipped, a more suitable carrier is determined by Calgary Event Wholesale,  we will agree to pay any additional costs incurred for the change in service.  CEW will occasionally provide this service only if it improves upon your already selected courier and service level. If you request additional services at time of delivery such as unnecessary power tailgate or inside delivery on a LTL shipment we will provide you with an invoice for the unscheduled charges.  In the event of  lost or damaged good during shipment, all orders are automatically insured for the default amount of $100.00/shipment or $2.00/lb. which ever is greater regardless of the courier or transport selected. If you wish to add additional insurance you must inform us prior to completing the checkout and selecting your preferred carrier. In the event you have arranged the order offline and not at www.calgaryeventwholesale.com all online ordering  policies apply. Even though we are not  responsible for the items once they are handed off to the carrier, If you incur any lost or damaged items please contact us with all the details and we will submit the claim on your behalf.  In the event the transport company is unavailable to perform the delivery due to the buyers negligence or unavailability, any additional fees for special handling or additional request such as appointment or inside deliveries will become the sole responsibility of the receiver.

International Shipping

  • Calculated shipping charges are for SHIPPING only and do not include any duties, brokerage or taxes at time of import. All Importing fees are to be paid by the importer and will be charged by the carrier at time of delivery. In the event of an unlikely lost or damaged shipment, all orders are automatically insured for the default amount of $100.00/shipment or $2.00/lb. which ever is greater regardless of the courier or transport selected. If you need to submit a claim due to lost items or damages incurred during shipping please contact the offending couriers claims department directly and quote the appropriate weigh-bill number.

Understanding Shipping Insurance

  When you select a carrier to transport your purchase during checkout you are in instance entering a binding agreement for in which they will agree to pick up, transport and deliver your package in it’s original condition. But what if your items don’t arrive undamaged or  occasionally not at all.  For most people this means contacting the seller to try and find some recourse, but the seller didn’t cause the damage. That’s where things tend to sometimes get a little complicated. When you selected a carrier option at checkout the default insurance provided by the carrier will usually run at a maximum of $2.00/lb. This will rarely cover most damage claims and always requires you to take many pictures and prove that they were negligent in their operations. Not only is this very inconvenient but often take weeks or months to settle and receive any compensation.

Purchasing standard or premium shipping insurance alleviates most of the hassle in the event of lost or damaged items. Standard shipping coverage allows claims to be settled quickly. Usually just a couple of pictures and you will receive a refund or replacement products at $5.00/lb. per damaged or lost item. immediately upon approval subject to in stock availability. This level of insurance will generally cover most issues and should be the minimum amount when shipping fragile items.

Premium shipping coverage covers the item at replacement value completely. Say you ordered 2 cases of glass charger plates each with 8 plates in each case. When the package arrives 1 plate in each case is broken. You take the required pictures in the set allotted time and we either send you 1 full case replacements or issue a refund for 100% of the purchase price.

Please note: By not selecting additional insurance at checkout the default coverage will revert to the carrier and bound by all their terms, conditions or policies.
